Cute Meet
You never know where life will take you. We go about our business, never knowing when or if our past life might intersect our current one. It was definitely a cute meet situation when I was introduced to Kevin and Francesca. I was at the Ancaster Wedding Show when the show was giving the grand golden prize. The golden prize, was for a complimentary wedding photo package by me and DA Photography. By the end of the event the golden prize was announced and Francesca was the winner!
Little did I know, Francesca was seeking referrals for photographers and my name was suggested to her. Who suggested me? None other than my wife’s brother! It turns out my brother-in-law knows Francesca through work.
To make the story even crazier… My wife actually attended high school with Francesca back in their hometown! When I came home after the Ancaster Wedding Show and told my wife about the draw and the funny circumstance with her brother, my wife started laughing and told me she knew Francesca too. I guess you could say it was a match made in heaven?!
Spencer Gorge/Webster’s Falls Conservation Area, Hamilton
Sometimes you know exactly what you want in a photo shoot location. Francesca and Kevin knew they wanted to take photos at Spencer Gorge/Webster’s Falls Conservation Area in Hamilton. From Webster’s Falls to the ruins, the park is full of ideas and inspiration for engagement photo backdrops.
Wear What You Want
Choosing clothes for your engagement photo shoot can be a difficult decision. So, why not use all your favourite outfits like Francesca? I’ll wait for you to change, there’s no rush. Speaking of clothes, one of my favourite photos of the session has to be of Francesca leaning into Kevin. She’s using the collar of his sweater to pull him in for a kiss. It’s an especially romantic photo that gives the feeling of sensual urgency. Francesca and Kevin were easy going and seemed comfortable throughout the whole session.
Go Out With a Bang!
We were able to end Francesca and Kevin’s engagement photo shoot with a sunset session. Sunset photos are difficult to manage. The sky’s bright pinks and oranges aren’t around very long. We need to commit to the process and take the photos quickly. Francesca and Kevin were committed and the results are amazing!
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
