Sadmir and Mari had their heart set on a Mississauga winter engagement photoshoot to contrast with their Casa Loma summer wedding<\/a><\/em>. They wanted to walk away with images that would highlight the beauty of each season, from environment, backdrops and visuals, to their attire.<\/p>\n

As self declared outdoorsy people, their suggested location of Etobicoke Centennial Park made perfect sense. The park itself was huge and had so many different facets. We had limited time outdoors because of the winter temperature. However, the lack of people around also offered better time management. It makes such a difference when your couple isn\u2019t being distracted by onlookers or waiting for popular spots to clear out.<\/p>\n

This simple tip helped make Sadmir and Mari\u2019s Mississauga winter engagement photo session pop<\/h4>\n

I always suggest strong colours for winter photoshoots as they make such an impact. Mari chose a red jacket that really popped against the blue skies, white snow and evergreens. Sadmir\u2019s black scarf with a red line running through it tied their outfits together nicely.<\/p>\n

\"Top<\/p>\n

First, we started out at the lake with the intention of capturing them skating. However, it wasn\u2019t frozen over properly. Instead,\u00a0 we set out for some images by the trees instead. When you play with focus while setting up the image, your eyes are naturally drawn to the couple.\u00a0 Additionally, by utilizing the colours of the trees, I added depth and texture to the composition.<\/p>\n

To offer a few different feels to their Mississauga winter engagement photoshoot I had recommended bringing a change of clothes. With their change we headed to the long grass by the lakeside. It was more than a bit windy! Sadmir and Mari laid low in the tall grass. As a result, they were protected from the elements, as well as it added a great visual. I made sure to showcase their features by having them look off camera as the bright sun meant it was harder to look at me without squinting.<\/p>\n

Extra snuggles kept in the warmth for this Mississauga winter engagement photoshoot<\/h4>\n

We wrapped up our shoot by heading to the ski hills as they added a fantastic backdrop to represent their winter engagement. Another signature shot that I always make sure to get is a detailed representation of the engagement ring. In this case, setting the ring in natural surroundings, be it the snow or the rocks, highlights that this was an outdoor, winter photoshoot.<\/p>\n

The objective of Sadmir and Mari\u2019s photoshoot was to focus on the details. We were all super happy with the results. By using my surroundings, I was able to eccentricate winter and the impactful backdrops it offers.<\/p>\n
