Mandy and Eric’s Humber East Park engagement session combined four Toronto-area locations into one seamless photography experience. Starting at Humber East Park and the beach, continuing through Humber Bay Park West, Sheldon Lookout, and Trillium Park, and finishing with nighttime skyline photos at Polson Pier, the session showcased a variety of landscapes, lighting conditions, and views with minimal travel. Their engagement photos featured beach scenes, golden-hour portraits, Toronto skyline views, sunset silhouettes, and creative nighttime photography<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Mandy and Eric’s Humber East Park engagement session was designed to maximize variety while keeping travel simple. Beginning at Humber East Park, the session incorporated beach portraits, waterfront scenery, and relaxed candid moments before moving to Humber Bay Park West and Sheldon Lookout during golden hour. The couple then continued to Trillium Park for sunset photos featuring the Toronto skyline and CN Tower before finishing the evening with dramatic nighttime portraits overlooking the city from Polson Pier. By combining multiple nearby locations and changing light conditions, the session delivered a diverse gallery of engagement photos that captured Toronto’s waterfront, skyline, sunsets, and urban atmosphere in a single afternoon.<\/p>\n

The Starting Point of This Humber East Park Engagement<\/h2>\n

Mandy and Eric’s Humber East Park engagement during golden hour featured multiple locations within a 10-minute drive of each other.<\/p>\n

As we discussed before the session, my couple wanted to incorporate different looks without much travel or scouting for additional locations. I had an amazing idea for them.<\/p>\n

We started at Humber East Park and worked by the beach, then changed the feel and look of the session by visiting Humber Bay Park and the Sheldon Lookout. With Toronto’s amazing skyline as our backdrop, we then moved to the third location of the session, Trillium Park. Here, we enjoyed the sunset and the amazing view of the CN Tower and the city skyline.<\/p>\n

The last location for their Humber East Park engagement was by the docks, where we used the twilight light and Toronto’s skyline for a night session that gave their engagement a magical feel.<\/p>\n

Overall, over the course of three hours, we visited four locations and created some amazing engagement photos with a variety of looks and atmospheres.<\/p>\n

Engagement Photos Along the Beach<\/h3>\n

To avoid the rush of park visitors, I suggested we meet around 5 pm for their Humber East Park engagement. As we arrived, the sky was overcast, allowing us to work outdoors without having to hide from the sun and enjoy parts of Humber East Park that are usually very sunny.<\/p>\n

As we moved toward the beach area, the clouds shifted, and we captured some bright images that felt very different from the first part of the session.<\/p>\n

My couple was so relaxed from the very beginning, which helped me create a variety of photos that incorporated the park, the beach area, and some cute hidden gems of photography spots on this side of the park.<\/p>\n

My goal was to work here until 6 pm and then, as we repositioned to the next location, take advantage of the warmth of golden hour light.<\/p>\n

Golden Hour Engagement Photos at Humber Bay Park West and Sheldon Lookout<\/h3>\n

After a five-minute drive, we arrived at our second photography location, the Arch Bridge at Humber Bay Park. Since it was around dinner time, we had escaped the large crowds that are usually present at the bridge and in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

I knew I could not expect the bridge to be empty, but I took every opportunity to photograph my couple whenever there were fewer people around. As we moved closer to the Sheldon Lookout, I was happy to work with my couple in the shade while the warm golden hour light illuminated the city skyline in the background.<\/p>\n

Moving from place to place, I was happy to incorporate some speedboats in the background or anything else that would make the static backdrop feel more interesting.<\/p>\n

Eric had added a jacket, so the feel of these photos was a bit different, creating a consistent change in this part of the session.<\/p>\n

Humber East Park Engagement Sunset Photos at Trillium Park<\/h4>\n

I knew I wanted to be at Trillium Park around 7 pm, where I expected to capture some amazing photos of the sunset reflecting off the high-rise buildings. I was able to frame my couple in front of those buildings, the lake, and the CN Tower.<\/p>\n

Trillium Park is one of Toronto’s hidden gems, offering an amazing view of the city, but with extremely stressful parking options.<\/p>\n

As we walked toward the end of the path, I was able to seat my couple on the grass while creating an eye-catching view of the Toronto skyline. At Trillium Park, we created beautiful silhouettes and captured amazing sunset photos that gave Mandy and Eric’s Humber East Park engagement a more intimate and romantic feel.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the session, we captured some fun daytime photos at Humber East Park and the beach. We then continued to Humber Bay Park, the Sheldon Lookout, and the Arch Bridge, where we worked in the warmth of golden hour and captured more images that incorporated the background into the photos.<\/p>\n

Trillium Park gave us amazing, vibrant images, including the city skyline at sunset and some creative silhouette photos.<\/p>\n

The last part of the session was my signature nighttime photos.<\/p>\n

Nighttime Toronto Skyline Photos After the Humber East Park Engagement<\/h4>\n

To capture the amazing twilight scene with Toronto’s colourful skyline, we had two options. The first was to photograph from Toronto Island, but at that time, it was difficult to get there on schedule and stressful to manage the ferry rides.<\/p>\n

The other option was to photograph from the Docks Driving Range area, which offers an amazing view of the waterfront at the Polson Pier Skyline Viewpoint.<\/p>\n

Once we found parking and arrived, we noticed a line of visitors waiting for photos, along with professional photographers hoping to offer their couples the same experience I had envisioned.<\/p>\n

Feeling very comfortable working in low light with backlighting, I found a spot that offered an amazing view without interfering with other photographers or visitors, and we started working.<\/p>\n

I was so happy to see how naturally my couple blended into the scene and enjoyed every moment, giving me the opportunity to capture those intimate feelings and emotional interactions.<\/p>\n

I was excited that we were able to create different lighting scenarios that added variety and made it feel as though we had been photographing all day.<\/p>\n

Tips For Couples Planning an Engagement Session with Different Lighting Scenarios<\/h5>\n

I often encourage couples to choose engagement locations that offer a variety of scenery within a short distance. Mandy and Eric’s Humber East Park engagement is a perfect example of how thoughtful planning can transform a single afternoon into a diverse photography experience. By combining waterfront views, golden-hour light, sunset colours, and nighttime cityscapes, we created a gallery that felt like several engagement sessions rolled into one while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.<\/p>\n
