They wanted an out of the box approach to showcase the delicate nature of their line of work. Operating in the world of individual therapy and counselling for stressful situations, they wanted realistic and unintimidating images. With clients recovering from PTS, car crashes, divorces and deaths, they wanted to give people the courage to reach out. These portraits helped to break that barrier by showing they were a real and approachable couple with realistic goals.<\/p>\n

People are often self-conscious when it comes to taking a professional headshot<\/em><\/a>. I always emphasis that I will only provide minor touch-ups so it doesn\u2019t become an unrealistic portrayal. Neither clients nor employers like to feel conned by an obviously photo shopped image that looks nothing like you.<\/p>\n

Mario liked to read a lot, so the wall of books in his office seemed the perfect backdrop to represent his character. With a friendly face and strong yet comfortable demeanor, I love how approachable he comes across in his portraits. The office looked beautiful, unintimidating and cozy. People often associate sterile and clinical looking environments when thinking of counselling whereas this showcased more of a home environment.<\/p>\n
