Capturing the boyish charm in two young boys at Gairloch Gardens in Oakville during our fall family photos.
Charming Boys
As you can see from here family photos session, Heather’s boys are full of smiles and quick cuddles. Like most boys, Heather’s sons come in for a cuddle and just as quickly as they drive into her arms, they run off again. As a photographer of young children, I understand the need to capture photos fast when the opportunity presents itself. Photographing Heather’s boys was actually quite easy because the boys offered a number of great opportunities and their overall demeanour is very calm. The boys are charming and I think I was able to capture this quality in their photo series.
Booking for Fall
The Fall season is a popular time for family photos sessions. It’s the beginning of a new school year, the leaves provide a gorgeous backdrop and the weather is perfect for dressing for photos. The other plus is that the bugs are generally gone! We don’t have to contend with an abundance of mosquitoes and gnats during photo sessions. No swatting necessary!
The only downside of a Fall photo session is the possibility of missing those amazing colours. Life is busy and it seems like one weekend we see the changing colours and the next weekend the leaves are gone! Booking a session at the beginning of the Fall season, like Heather did, ensures you will get the colours at their prime. The other benefit of booking early, is having time to reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate. During Heather’s fall family photos shoot the rain started before our session, stopped while we took photos and started again after we finished. A cloudy day is just as good to take photos in, if not better than a sunny day.
The Beauty of Gairloch Gardens
Heather and her family live in Aurora and weren’t sure where to go for their photo shoot. We had worked together in the past and when I suggested one of my favourite parks, Gairloch Gardens, they were willing to try something new. As soon as they stepped out of the car and looked around, Heather and her family were impressed with the park and were happy they made the drive. It didn’t take long for us to get into the photo session. Since we had worked together before, we already had time to build a rapport. There was no need for me to allow time for the boys to warm up to me, we were ready to start documenting memories right away.
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
