A Part of the Family
I love working with Lynn and her family! We have worked together three times now and each time her family is open to the photo shoot process. Their smiles are abundant and their energy is boundless. I always feel welcome in Lynn’s home and her family is generous with their time. Now that we have worked together for a few years now, I feel like I’m a part of their family and they’re a part of mine!
Taking it Outside
In the past, Lynn’s photo shoots have taken place indoors. This time, we decided to venture outside and go just down the street to a park. The leaves had changed colour and were littering the ground, which ensured the best fall background. It almost looked like the background was manufactured, it was perfectly autumn-like. The whole family dressed in a colour that suits them and the yellow leaves in the background, red. The family’s photos pop off the page and the colours highlight their features.
An Easy Going Group
Lynn’s family was a blast to work with! Every time we work together, I have a great time. Their easy going spirit makes my job simple and their smiles are quick. When I step into their house, I am met with the results of last year’s photo shoot. Their family home is adorned with the pictures we took and it gives me a warm feeling to know they appreciate my work.
Exploring Together
As a group we explored the park and stopped to take photos when we found great backdrops. Although the family works well together and the kids were easy to work with, some of my favourite photos of the day came from the photos I took of Lynn and her husband, alone. The love these two share is definitely strong! They laugh and are playful together. They’re showing their kids what a good foundation is for a family. If the parents are happy, the whole family is happy. It’s as simple as that.
Mixing It Up
The reality of having a six person family is that not every one is going to be on the same page at the same time. Not everyone feels smiley during the whole photo shoot. Some times it’s just not in the cards. Instead of forcing it, I like to take photos of the kids as they are playing. If all four of them are playing together, great. If not, I’ll just capture one or two of them together and move on to the next child. The beauty of it is, with a six person family there is always someone to photograph!
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
