Jessica and Chris Pipers Heath’s wedding photos were some of the smoothest and most relaxed images I have taken that summer.
Being back at Pipers Heath Golf Club was a true joy and privilege. A couple of years ago, I photographed Joe and Nicole Pipers Heath’s Wedding Photos, and our experience was mind-blowing.
I was excited to create some magic for Jessica and Chris as well.
Why These Pipers Heath Wedding Photos Are So Unique
Pipers Heath is a golf club that, in addition to serving its golf clients, provides wedding celebrations for couples who love rolling hills, lush greenery, and outdoor ceremonies. Ideally located in the heart of Milton, this golf club is one of my all-time favourites to work with.
It offers a private outdoor wedding ceremony location, beautifully nestled in the greenery, with a local pond on one side and rolling hills on the other. The photo opportunities for Pipers Heath wedding photos are endless. From the outdoor ceremony space to the barn area and the expansive rolling hills, I can’t think of another location that offers such a variety of scenic backdrops.
The reception area has been newly renovated, featuring stunning windows that allow natural light to pour in from three sides, creating a breathtaking ambiance while offering a picturesque view of the golf course’s rolling hills. Isolated from the main road and offering exceptional privacy, this venue provides couples with an incredible setting to bring their dream wedding to life.
Knowing all this in advance, I was especially excited to see what Jessica and Chris had planned for their wedding day.
Getting Ready Photos at the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Mississauga / Meadowvale Hotel
Jessica decided to get ready for her big day at the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto. We planned for me to photograph Jessica with the girls while Jacquie, the second photographer, worked with Chris and the boys at Pipers Heath before the wedding ceremony.
Since it was one of the hottest and most humid days in July, I was glad their getting-ready photos were indoors in an air-conditioned room. The room was a two-in-one space, which gave me the flexibility to photograph the hair and makeup artists working on the girls while using the other area for wedding details and photos of Jessica with her bridesmaids.
Jessica is naturally calm, which made working with her, the girls, and her family easy. The white sheets on the hotel windows helped soften the natural light, allowing me to capture some beautiful bridal portraits.
Once we had everything we needed, I drove to Pipers Heath, where Jacquie had already finished with the boys and was photographing the reception setup and the wedding ceremony site.
When I arrived at Pipers Heath, I felt completely at home, like I had been there many times before. The ceremony place was lush and perfectly set up for their outdoor wedding ceremony.
Pipers Heath Wedding Photos of the Outdoor Ceremony
While their wedding guests started to arrive, I captured some candid photos while Jacquie was with the girls, preparing for their arrival.
Although the ceremony and gazebo were set deep within the venue, the shade from strategically planted trees provided some relief from the intense July heat.
Knowing that the ceremony would be fast, I positioned myself at the front, ready to capture every moment as it unfolded. I love witnessing the emotions of the groom and groomsmen, especially when they don’t try to hide their feelings. Chris was excited to see his wife-to-be walked down the aisle by her father. And there she was, full of happiness and a nervous giggle. Jessica had arrived, walking side by side with her father.
Moving behind the scenes, I worked to capture different angles and perspectives while being careful not to disrupt such a meaningful and quiet moment. The ceremony ended just as it had begun—with a radiant smile on Jessica’s face. Now officially husband and wife, she and Chris walked back down the aisle together.
To avoid having family members move around too much for photos, I chose a shaded spot by the pond for immediate family portraits. This kept everyone out of the sun while allowing me to take advantage of the soft, diffused light.
Once we finished the group photos, the remaining guests were transported by golf carts to the cocktail area just outside the reception hall. It was a fantastic strategic move that made for a smooth and seamless transition between events. Once most of the wedding guests had made their way to the cocktail area, we were left with just the bride, groom, and their bridal party.
Pipers Heath Photography Locations Dream for Every Wedding Photographer
I knew I wanted to finish their photos by the barn and silos, so we started with group shots while Jacquie captured moments from the cocktail party and took updated photos of the reception setup. The groomsmen, dressed in vests instead of jackets, were more comfortable in the summer heat. I kept them in the shade as much as possible, knowing that Jessica and Chris would be in full sun afterward—our only option to truly showcase the beauty of these Pipers Heath wedding photos in the summer.
Once we wrapped up the bridal party photos, Jacquie rejoined us, and now it was just the four of us. I brought Jessica and Chris back to the pond at the ceremony site to capture a few shots I had envisioned since the start of the day.
Next, we hopped into golf carts stocked with icy water, drinks, and snacks, ready to explore the course. I had a few specific locations in mind, so I communicated our route with the venue wedding coordinator.
One of my favourite spots was the massive tree that Pipers Heath is especially proud of. I still remember the first time Tim, the owner, personally drove us there and shared its story. Since then, I’ve made it a tradition to bring my couples here, capturing their love in a way that’s both consistent and uniquely suited to them.
This time, I had Jessica and Chris walk a little further toward the tree, allowing Jacquie and me to capture the stunning golden hour light filtering through the branches and rolling hills. Here, they shared a champagne pop and a few refreshing sips, enjoying the perfect moment together.
The Wedding Reception at the Golf Club
It was time to bring Jessica and Chris to the reception area, as the evening celebrations were about to begin. While I planned to take them back out for sunset photos later, we still had some time before the sun would be in the perfect position.
With that in mind, we headed inside. Jessica and Chris prepared for their grand entrance while Jacquie and I captured the guests’ reactions, filled with excitement as they awaited the couple’s introduction as husband and wife.
The reception hall was bright and beautifully decorated with a minimalistic yet thoughtfully detailed design—something Jessica and Chris had carefully planned for months. Once all the guests were seated, the wedding party made their entrance, followed by Jessica and Chris, who went straight into their first dance. It was the perfect timing, allowing us to take full advantage of the stunning natural light streaming in from three sides of the room.
As the reception continued and the first course was being served, I noticed the sunset was approaching. I turned to Jessica and Chris and asked if they would step outside with Jacquie and me to capture some beautiful golden-hour portraits.
Sunset Photos at Piper’s Heath Wedding
Their head table was right by the windows, giving them a perfect view of the breathtaking sunset over the rolling hills. The moment they saw it, they practically ran toward the little bridge, which was perfectly aligned with the setting sun.
Here, we captured countless photos, making the most of the golden light and stunning landscape. Having this much time for sunset portraits is rare, and I was thrilled to take full advantage of it.
Satisfied that we had made the most of the incredible sunset, we headed back to the reception. On our way, we stopped briefly to capture some candid moments with guests who had come outside to watch us photograph the newlyweds.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the day’s intense heat gave way to a refreshing coolness, carried by the grass and trees of the golf course. Inside, the energy was building. With the final speeches wrapped up, the DJ officially opened the dance floor, and the celebration kicked into full swing.
Party Time at This Milton Wedding
Jessica and Chris brought out a couple of pink hats, passing them to guests in the middle of the dance floor as they showed off their moves. It was the perfect way to get everyone to loosen up and keep the party going.
Every so often, I ran over to the bar, where a group of guests was raising their glasses for celebratory shots, before heading back to the dance floor. The combination of pink hats and drinks created an electric energy, making for some fantastic candid moments.
The DJ played a perfect mix of music that had something for everyone, ensuring a packed dance floor, happy guests, and plenty of great photo opportunities.
It was the perfect way to wrap up these Piper’s Heath wedding photos and leave Jessica and Chris to continue celebrating with their loved ones.
