A day in the life of an Italian style wedding
Steve and Daniella’s Italian style wedding is dear to my heart. I had previously shot a family wedding in which Steve was a groomsman so he was used to my style.
Both of them work in the teaching field, so they were really easy to deal with and great at working with groups of people without feeling awkward.
We started our day off with the two of them getting ready in separate houses with their respective parties. The image of Daniella’s father stealing his first look really touched me.
Daniella is one of four daughters so the group shot of the father and daughters truly captures the family dynamics.
Steve pulled off a very dapper Italian tailored suit that exuded class and attention to detail.
A carefree, multi-location Italian style wedding
One of my favourite shots from this wedding was of a sneaky kiss to the flower girl who looked like she wasn’t impressed. If we could only tell her, one day this will all make sense!
After the ceremony we planned to hold the photo session at Edgewater Manor, a historic lake side mansion oozing in style. If you have never graced its doors, you can enjoy their fine dining restaurant for some spectacular cuisine in stunning grounds.
This images in front of Edgewater Manor showcases the venues opulence and offers a beautiful backdrop for the wedding party. The Romeo and Juliet style balcony is a unique feature that will always ensure that ‘keeper’ picture.
The saying goes it’s all about who you know, and Daniella and Steve were lucky enough to have the owner of Carmen’s Banquet Hall in their wedding party. This lead to an obvious choice of reception venue for their Italian style wedding and set the scene for a night of fun, laughter and memory making.
Carmen’s is Italian owned and has a huge following so both the wedding couple and their guests felt at home.
I always love being a part of a crazy, hectic day full of locations, but my favourite part is always watching the couple observing with carefree looks on their faces as they start their lives off as Mr and Mrs.
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
