I love to photograph family reunions and even more so if there is a surprise involved. This event was a birthday party for the grandmother and at the same time a family reunion.
Most of the family was ready to take a group photo, when one of the sons arrived from Vancouver, BC completely to surprise his mother (the grandmother) and father. There are no words to be able to properly convey the emotions at that time and the happiness of the mother having all her children around her for her birthday. The rest of the photo shoot is simply happy and precious memories frozen in time and delivered by these photographs.
