S + W had attended the 2014 Ancaster bridal show specifically looking for a Hamilton Golf Country Club wedding photographer. After having a conversation with them to determine my style and their needs, I got a request on my way home to set up a meeting. Within a week, we had sat down to visualise what they wanted for their day and they had booked!
It is a rarity when you stumble across a couple that know exactly what they want but are open enough to suggestion. Both S + W were a dream to work with as they were both of these things. This resulted in them being relaxed and comfortable on their wedding day. When a couple relaxes and can enjoy the day without worrying about others, it shines through in their photos.
We started out at her parent’s house where the bridal party got ready. Despite a rainy start to the day, as soon as she stepped outside, the rain stopped!
S + W held their wedding ceremony in a very picturesque St. John Anglican Church. I shot some unique angles in a journalistic style of coverage to capture the emotions of the day.
The one thing we had decided was important to focus on for S + W’s special day was the detailing. This led to me being able to really get creative with my compositions. Some favourites include the silhouette of the ring in the book and of S’s sparkly shoes showcasing their wedding bands.
An Ancaster wedding location that has it all: Through the lenses of Hamilton Golf Country Club Wedding Photographer
Hamilton Golf Country Club offered a dramatic difference in terms of backdrop and the slight wind was perfect for showcasing off her billowing veil. I always see it as a positive when it has rained because it increases the intensity of the greens in the landscape and makes the white wedding dress pop naturally.
I love how warm and inviting the various backdrops look at the Hamilton Golf Country Club and am excited to be returning in the fall for another wedding.
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
