Fall portrait sessions lend themselves to gorgeous scenery and are sometimes at the will of the weather of the season. This can bring about unique challenges for a photographer but a wealth of experience lends itself to the consistent capturing of the beauty of family regardless of the weather. They were eager for the session after booking it five months ago and their excitement shone through to make for some great pictures.
Whenever babies are involved in a family shoot or in a session on their own, it can sometimes be unpredictable. Baby Lindsay wore his curiosity at what I was doing with my lens all over and through his facial expressions it was clear that this little one was very aware of the world around her. The love parents have for their children come through at this age in an interest in how well the life of their Beloved child is being captured. It’s always great when you can see ease weave its way through a photo session as the parents see that what love they have for their child is well captured through the lens. Few things are as rewarding as seeing this shine through in a photo session!
The location a couple chooses for their session lends itself well to seasonal photographs or capturing something important about that particular group. For Karin and Dave, that ‘something important’ was their wedding photos taking place at the park a year earlier and finding this out made me feel even more privileged to be the photographer to take their family photos! Special locations like these add immensely to the way pictures punctuate our experiences over the years, making them so much more than something that fills a frame on the wall; they become the reflection of the love that fills the entire home and the hearts of those who pass through it.
