A lot of parents are committed to taking professional photos annually to preserve the memory of our kids at this time in their lives. These photos are more telling than our annual school portraits which can be stiff and unforgiving. Family photo shoots tell a vivid story about our current time.
From Trains to Dinosaurs
Have you met Daniela’s active twin boys? Last time we meet, these gorgeous boys were obsessed with their Thomas the Train toys. We incorporated their precious toys in the photo shoot because the boys would stand or sit still longer with something to occupy their minds. Also, using kids’ toys in their photos helps remind us of their favourite things at this age. In future years, seeing the toys will remind their parents of this time in their lives. During our latest photo shoot I was introduced to the boys’ new favourite toys — their vicious dinosaurs! They played endlessly with their giant reptiles and hugged them in tight whenever we moved from one photo shoot location to another.
Twice the Belly Laughs
Working with Daniela’s boys involves a great deal of activity on my part! The boys are incredibly active and kept me on my toes the whole time. I snapped photos while they played and I captured images while they ran. I am always in my element when I work with active boys like Daniela’s since I have two the same at home! I’m used to running after them, getting in on the action and feeding off their energy. Kids at this young, toddler age always feed off one another. If one boy is excited, so is the other. If one boy makes his dinosaur toy jump and crash into the rocks, the other boy does the same, only with a higher jump and a bigger crash!
The joys in having active boys are abundant. All you need to do is provide an open space and watch the magic happen. Before we let the boys roam feely, we took some photos of all four them together, while their attention was captured.
A Second Chance
Looking back at Vlad childhood, (Daniela and Chris’, older son, now already teenager), they realized that they didn’t have many photos taken of him or them at that time. Daniela deeply regrets that now. This time around, with her twin boys, she’s committed to taking professional photos every year. She wants to capture the boys as they grow and mature, from infancy to toddler-hood and beyond.
Location: Paletta Mansion, Burlington
Paletta Mansion is by far one of the best places in Burlington to take photos of any kind — family pictures, engagement announcements, you name it! The grounds have many different options for photo backgrounds and the mansion itself is beautiful.
My passion and biggest asset is taking the time to make every client comfortable and relaxed before I even pick up the camera. The result? Photos of you that actually look like you at your best! I can prove to you how much you can enjoy having your picture taken. Lifestyle photography is about the experience that happens to be served up along side of some great photos.
